We are proud to offer modern technology and techniques to our patients so you can enjoy the most comfortable, efficient, and effective sleep care possible. Feel free to read on to learn more about the technology we use in our practice.
CBCT X-Ray
We utilize a CBCT x-ray machine to visualize the top and bottom jaws in three dimensions. This technology allows us to check for bony pathology or tooth infections and analyze the available airway space in the nose and throat. If the airway space shows up constricted on the CBCT, it indicates a predisposition for Obstructive Sleep Apnea.
Home Sleep Test
Many patients are reluctant to go to a hospital setting to get a sleep test done since sleeping in a foreign bed with many wires attached to them sounds intimidating. Luckily, for most patients, there's another option that is both more economical and more comfortable we can use to collect the necessary information.
As the name indicates, home sleep tests are tests a doctor administers in the comfort of the patient's own home. A home sleep test monitor device is mailed to the patient's home and self-administered. After the test is complete, the sleep monitor is sent back in a pre-marked mailing envelope, and the sleep physician views the results.
